Taylor’s Senior Session: Wooster, Orrville, and Downtown Adventures

Senior sessions are always special, but Taylor’s was one for the books! From the moment I met her, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable evening. Taylor is outgoing, full of life, and knows exactly what she wants — which made planning her session so much fun.

Props With Meaning

One of the things that stood out most about Taylor’s session was the personal touches she brought along. She included several meaningful items — some “Easter eggs” that reflect her personality and family bond. Her childhood bear, a Thomas the Train toy, a favorite blanket, and even a few fabulous cowboy hats made appearances. The most meaningful, though, was what she affectionately called “grandpa in a can” — her grandfather’s ashes. It was such a beautiful way to honor his memory and include him in her milestone moment. And let’s not forget the motorcycle — talk about style!

A Mix of Country + Hip Vibes

Taylor wanted her senior session to reflect both her country roots and her modern, fun personality. We planned a variety of locations to capture every side of her. Our evening started at a farm, followed by stops in downtown Wooster, non-active train tracks in Orrville, Ohio (with permission, of course!), and even a unique stop at Books in Stock, a cozy downtown bookstore that made the perfect backdrop. The mix of locations gave her session both an adventurous and stylish feel.

Fun, Laughter, and Adventure

The vibe of the day was nothing short of adventurous! Taylor and her mom were all in — from outfit changes to driving between locations, we made sure every detail was covered. The laughter never stopped, and the energy was contagious. When a session is planned out with this much thought, it not only creates amazing images but also memories that last a lifetime.

A Mother–Daughter Dream Team

Taylor’s mom deserves a huge shoutout for being such a big part of the process. She was involved from the very beginning, helping with outfits, props, and location ideas. Their bond was so evident throughout the evening — seeing the two of them work together and enjoy the experience was heartwarming.

Why This Session Stands Out

As a photographer, this session reminded me why I love what I do. The effort Taylor and her mom put into making this day special showed me how important these memories are. We spent about 2.5 hours together, making sure we covered all the locations and outfit changes. And of course, Taylor was pampered with professional makeup by Ashley Rettig (Ashley R Does Hair LLC) — which she raved about! I always know my seniors are in the best hands when Ashley is part of the team.
